Knoxville Alumni Association

Supporting our Knoxville Panthers with "Generations of Black & Gold pride!"

Ken Locke Stadium 2008 Update order to see what we've accomplished and where we're going, it's necessary to take a moment to reflect on where we've been. 2008 was a year of substantial progress for the Knoxville Alumni Association. As we begin our fourth year, we have

  • raised nearly $470000 in our fundraising efforts towards the S.O.S. $1,000,000 goal!

  • provided direction to the stadium restoration of our home seating towers, and other projects.

  • welcomed the new panther tree carving overlooking the football field

  • established a $10,000 endowed scholarship through Dollars for Scholars and awarded three additional 4,500 scholarships to graduating KHS seniors

  • supported Bryan Schlotterback's '90 "1 Man, 100 Miles, 1 Day" benefit run for S.O.S.

  • welcomed members of the Class of 2008 with a free 5-year membership to our organization

  • celebrated Homecoming with alumni during our third annual Alumni Celebration Dance and annual business meeting. (We welcomed back seven KHS classes celebrating one night of their reunioin at the dance!)

  • organized the 2nd Annual Family New Year's Eve Rock 'n Roll Sock Hop, a safe and fund community celebration

I'm honored to serve as president for a second term and am looking forward to the progress we'll make in 2009. The Board has several events and projects already planned for this year, and we can use your help! Please let us know if you would like to get involved!

Thank you for your continued support.

Kevin Stitsworth '91, President
